Yoga is so much more than  poses on a mat.

"Yoga" means "to yoke together," and the Yoga tradition focuses on unifying all aspects of the Self.

Those of us who have limited physical mobility, including those who are confined to beds and wheelchairs, can certainly practice and enjoy the benefits of Yoga!  In fact, it becomes especially important to establish and maintain strength in the mind-body connection

during this time.

Sessions are always unique and personalized for each patient, taking into account medical and other physical or mental conditions.

Practices may include:

* Very light movement (Asana) to help mobility, joints, and muscle activation

* Breath practices (Pranayama) to soothe the mind and help regulate the cardiorespiratory system

* Gentle massage (Marma point therapy) to help promote relaxation and lessen pain

Sessions are $120 for an up-to-two-hour session (length depending on patient preference).

Yoga's emphasis on what it calls the "subtle body" is an exploration of the energies and patterns that determine how the mind and body work together.

While it is sometimes portrayed as the "woo" aspect of Yoga, this part of the practice is simple, soothing, and meant to alleviate suffering.

Sessions are always unique and personalized for each patient, taking into account medical and other physical or mental conditions.
