Hello, my name is Lizi Wyatt.

I trained as a Nurse Assistant in 2023, completing my courses and clinicals in the skilled nursing and hospice units of a local hospital. There I found that I loved working with our patients, but wished that I could provide them with connection and spiritual care in addition to their medical care, and began brainstorming about how this could be possible. Wishing to provide more presence and support for patients and their families throughout the end-of-life journey, I trained as an End-of-Life Doula in 2026.

I was brought to Yoga practice by my own chronic illness and by injury. My experience with Yoga spans over two decades and includes many styles and traditions. Yoga practice and teaching give me deep perspective to not only stay more centered in difficult times, but to recognize how my struggles can become gateways for deep learning and contentment. It's from this place that I share what I know and what I learn from others, and attempt to be as present as possible with our experiences.

Before training as a Nurse Assistant, I taught college and university literature and communications. I also created and ran a successful Yoga and Wilderness Guiding service in Joshua Tree National Park, in addition to working in therapeutic Yoga and rehabilitative personal training. I have served in nonprofit leadership of various types and worked in medical communications.

I now live in Yucca Valley with my partner and our seven (!) furry companions. We love good food, good music, good wine, and each other.
